Refrigeration services are critical services for this large supermarket customer, and there was a desire to improve the performance of the supply chain and to reduce the impact to retail by improving asset availability.
A ‘one team’ approach to supplier management was introduced, which encouraged collaboration between MML, the customer and the supplier to enable them to achieve shared goals. The Management Information was reviewed to ensure suppliers were provided with the opportunity to improve performance and attend work orders prior to SLA breaches. This included automated daily dashboards showing a number of metrics to enable suppliers to focus on the highest priority works orders, such as those relating to destocked assets. The contractual service credits were also reviewed to drive first fix rather than attendance to SLA.
